Our Mission

Our mission is to build partnerships which enable First Nations women to access the right support to use entrepreneurship as a vehicle for social change for their families and communities

“Doing business can make your life count, make your children proud. I want to live long, I want to learn. I feel excited to hold a camera and take photos. Nothing is going to hold me back. I want to become something”

— Tarisha Mouda, entrepreneur, Kalumburu

Our Approach

Our approach is place-based and community-led. We focus on building the capacity of communities to activate local economies through enterprise. Our aim is to address a gap in early-stage support that builds foundational skills in entrepreneurship and small business. We do this by facilitating enterprise-based projects that build capacity, strong partnerships and enabling ecosystems. Our model is trauma informed, relationship based and responsive to the unique context of each community that we are invited to support.

“It is our dream for us women to get up and make the community stronger. Us strong women are volunteers to make things good for our children and our future.”

-Kalumburu Elder and Leader of the Tramulla Strong Women’s Group (deceased)

Our Projects

We work with leaders and community members in remote First Nation communities to co-design enterprise projects based on individual, family and community aspirations. An example of the projects that have emerged from our community partnerships to date include:
